Other: a way to get Dems to shut the f— up.

I would be elated because this election is definitely 100% theirs with this ticket, not because I think McCain is a big threat. The biggest threat to a democratic win come November? Hardcore Hillary fans. Nothing against the Hillary supporters. If the situation were reversed, it would be hardcore Obama fans handing this election to McCain.

Also, if they run together, he'll have the benefit of the October surprises she surely has lined up and lets not pretend that doesn't make a big difference for those undecided voters. Hillary fights hard and she fights dirty enough to take McCain who has learned well from the "black lovechild" story that Rove spread in 2000 that got Bush the GOP nomination. The GOP crosses the morality line with its fear campaigns and Hillary knows how to go far enough, "amoral" if you will. It's always nice to have someone like that on your side, especially because the GOP definitely has some October surprises for Obama. The DNC is not competent enough to fight anyone.

I do not think it would work. Americans are not ready for that much diversity YET. If Obama or Hillary where to get the democratic nomination they will need to pull in a white male. If Hillary had a women VP or Obama had a BM VP both of them can give it up. Besides, there has been to much mud slinging from Hillary's side for Obama to ever feel comfortable with her.

Likewise, I think McCain may need to think more about nominating Bobby Jindal for VP. As we saw in the West Virginia video, many people are not open. If they think Obama is a Muslim you know they will assume Jindal is a Muslim, and maybe even a terrorist.

FYI: Jindal was Hindu and converted to Catholicism. I sure there would be questions about his birth name and outsourcing.

Daria the black love child story was both funny and sad. I am sure that many of those older WM Polticos have had black children who they keep on the DL. Storm Thermon(sp) was not the only one. When the lights go out we are all the same.

It seemed really pathetic and absurd when I read about it but what's sad is that it worked.

The McCain-has-a-black-baby thing. It did exactly what Rove wanted it to do.

My personal feelings about Hil aside (have been a fan but she has lost a tremendous amount of my respect during this campaign) I think the only people authentically dreaming about her on the ticket are the Republicans because as nonchalant as base is about McCain, they DESPISE the Clintons, ans that will get them to polls faster than a lesbian getting married while having an abortion in the church with Ruth Bader Ginsberg presiding

I'm sure these people are eager to let a black man become president too. Certain republicans hate the Clinton because Bill beat them at their own game. End of story. They are perfectly willing to accept this administration's lies though.

Is that a blending of Obama & Hillary, or one of John Edwards & Dennis Kucinich? I can't tell.

I think John Edwards should get on the ticket with Obama (I hope he does). Now that would be a great team conducive to change.
