The new Indiana Jones movie premieres this week, and it got me thinking about classics from the good ol' 1980s. What's your favorite '80s movie?

I'm a fan of 80's teen movies and comedies, and I can't pick a favorite, I have too many: I like Say Anything,School Daze, Better Off Dead, House Party, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and Ferris Beuller's Day off.

I love the Breakfast Club, The Goonies, The Labirynth, Never Ending Story and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

If I'm in the middle of doing something or getting ready to leave and one of these movies comes on TV, I'm going to sit down, watch it, and be late.

I was late to a hair appointment because Goonies came on TV. (yes, i'm a nerd)

I LOVE the Goonies, and still get caught watching it when its on TV. Same with E.T. that lil' ol' ugly alien, I can't help it! Love Ferris Bueller, House Party, Grease (was that the '70's?), and I recently bought Foul Play (GOldie Hawn, Chevy Chase) on DVD, I have a thing for late '70's / early '80's movies, even though I was a little kid during that time period.

Oh wow, The '80s:
*Purple Rain (I loved & still LOVE Prince)
*School Daze (honestly, I thought pledging a black sorority would be that way lol)
*The Breakfast Club
*She's Having a Baby
*Batman
*9 & a 1/2 week
*Pretty in Pink
*ET
*Ghostbusters
*The Goonies
& my all-time '80s fave: Ferris Bueller's Day Off!

Pretty much everything that was cheesy about the '80s I bought & ate up.

I've got way too many that I could name here, but here are a few that come to mind:
Coming to America, House Party, Do the Right Thing, Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom, The Last Dragon and The Golden Child.

Looking back, a lot of 80's flicks were extra simple and corny (not to mention the lo-fi effects), but that's what made many of them so great!

overlooking the bothersome appropriation of Asian culture, i still think The Last Dragon is pretty dope. And i still have a crush on Leroy Green!

–"Pretty in Pink" (went well with my teen angst)
–"Raiders of the Lost Ark"
–"Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"
–"Raising Arizona"
–"The Killing Fields"

But, hands down, "Dangerous Liaisons," tops my list.

I might actually have all of The Last Dragon memorized. Today.

Co-signing all of your faves, and I have to throw a vote to both Heathers and Real Genius. Great movies.
