Wherein you, the readers, talk amongst yourselves.

Do you think Hillary Clinton did her best to bring her supporters over to Barack Obama's side last night? Do you think it was her responsibility or duty to do so?

yes
as an individual candidate, no she doesn't have the responsibility or duty
as a prominent democrat who doesn't want the country to go to hell on a picnic basket, yes, she has the responsibility and duty

During the primary, Hilary did some things that really angered me. In the end, it is all part of the game and she was doing whatever she had to do to win. She laid it out all on the line last night. Great speech. She put it out there, are you voting for her just because she is a female or are you standing with her in principle? If you are with her in principle, you won't vote for McCain. I think she has a duty as well as the rest of us…we can't take another 4 years of this crap…the economy stinks…waiting for Bill Clinton to bring the heat.

She gave an AMAZING speech last night, but as usual the obamnuts will accept nothing less than a blood sacrifice to prove undying loyalty to their messiah. Geeez.

Hillary can't force her supporters to support Obama if they choose not too. FACT.

It's up to Obama to win over those hardcore Hillary supporters if he wants to win in november. He has to win this election on his own, and no amount of speeched by Hillary or Bill is gonna do it for him.

I think it is her duty. I think she could have done better… her speech was so generic. And she sure talked about herself a lot. Kerry, on the other hand, did an amazing job.
PS
Did you notice she said "proud mother… proud Democrat" but not "proud wife." This may be immature, but I cracked up. I really think Michelle and Barack will be the first first couple to actually love each other.

Oh, and she should have said something like "I take back the 3 am call advertisement" and take back a lot of the crap she said about him.

FACT: She could use her nose to do a thorough colonoscopy on Obama and later bow before him and some people would still think she could have done more. I'm guessing these are the same people who would be militant members of P.U.M.A. if she were the candidate and have no right to be upset at their counterparts on the Clinton camp because they are one in the same. I wish more Republicans shared this mental illness as the nation would be a much better place.

P.S.: I was about to say that ultra-chic Chelsea shouldn't let her mother go on stage in an outfit like that but I just recalled a yellow skirt suit and hat that my own mama wears regularly. All you can do is bite your tongue, try to control the blinking as the color assaults your eyes and look her in the face only as you tell her she looks pretty. If you looked at the rest of her, lightning might strike you down.

I think she has done what she should to unify the party. She and Bill both…Bill brought it, last night. I was more into his speech that Hillary's (save that point about "are you in this for me, or for those people who need help?"). You know, many republicans don't bow at the McCain altar (what, they're not all gods?), but out of party loyalty and adherence to republican ideals, they will pull that lever for John McCain. And I'm pretty certain most would NEVER even think of voting for Obama. And this is why they have ruled the last 20 of 28 years.
