I remember she appeared on the episode where the models did the "homeless" photo shoot. I already knew she was transgender (along with the Latin homeless girl at the shoot) because I'd seen both of them profiled on a MSNBC doc called "Born in the Wrong Body".

Isis seems very determined and focused to do something positive with her life even though she doesn't have the full support of her family (from the doc). She's a fashion design student and she even won a contest modeling one of her creations at a ballroom event. I'm glad she's made it as a contestant to show how diverse a world we live in. Yay, Isis!

She's pre-op, which - as #1 said - could be an awkward problem. But still, she's awesome for doing this. I hope she wins and I can see it happening, because like I said, she's stunningly gorgeous!

I think it’s rad that America’s Next Top Model is open to trans gendered girls. Gender is about identification, not biology. Have you seen the beautiful TG girls on that show Gender Blender? They are hotter then a lot of the ‘genetic’ girls I’ve seen. I guess some of the beautiful girls have penises…

SMH. This experience may prematurely push her into the arms of urologist and plastic surgeon Dr. Alter. That's really his name. I was curious about how the procedure was done so I went to his site.

If you're going to go M to F, I see the point of the operation. I don't have Gender Identity Disorder, but I imagine that having the surgery would be an important piece in making her feel 100% female. I can't imagine going all this way and doing all this work to become one's true self yet still having a penis. I'm not her and I certainly can't completely put myself in her position.
F to M though? Wow. The "penis" looks like what I imagine an East German female olympian's clitoris would look like back in the day. It's like a micropenis.

I don't think Isis will have a problem at all in the bikini section. I see a lot of transgender "models" in my line of work and there are so many angles (and I'm sure other tricks) with which one can "work around" where it would appear she didn't have one.

If she wanted to transform officially from M to F, that's totally a personal choice she'll make if she hasn't already. But, I think for some transgendered people and definitely not all, it may be how they're use to feeling sexually gratified and achieving release.
