Cuba's Angel Matos deliberately kicked a referee square in the face after he was disqualified in a bronze-medal match, prompting the World Taekwondo Federation to recommend that he be banned for life.
Too bad. I understand though, as he trained for years only to get disqualified for taking longer than a minute to get himself together. But, rules are rules.
How embarrassing and a shame. The Olympics is about more than gold metals. Most of the athletes who go there win nothing, and know they have a very small chance of making the metal stand.
A number of athletes made me sick when they pouting cause they didn't win a gold medal instead of silver or bronze.
I bet the 200 meter sprinter from Bahrain would of been happy as all get out if she won a bronze, silver or even made the final. She would of been the queen of the town had she gone back with a medal.

Wow. He topped off a stupid mistake with a monumentally stupid, rage-induced attack on a ref? This guy has no place in organized competition.
Stamp him "banned" and mail him back to Cuba! That is completely ridiculous behavior.
China is participating in genocide (in Darfur) and they were awarded the Olympics. China needs to be banned for life.
Unsportsmanlike Conduct and ASSAULT!
I'm with RhymeswithSilver. Elite athletes trains for years but they should also display discipline and clearly this guy has none.
*train* for years.

lemme get a show of hands of those who think he beats his wife
::waves hand wildly::
I hope he didn't think kicking the guy in the face will change his mind.
So wrong yet so hilarious. The picture, not his actions. I do hope the ref promptly got up and beat his a–
I'm not gonna lie, when I saw/heard about this I laughed….HARD! LOL
