
Bono, the entertainment business's resident bleeding heart, took over as guest editor for July's Vanity Fair issue and focused on his favorite continent, Africa. To commemorate this historic event, famed photographer Annie Liebovitz shot 20 different covers.
As for the covers themselves, I was wondering why it looked like Madonna was about to kiss Maya Angelou's ear and why Bush was violating Desmond Tutu's space like that until Jossip informed me that the whole thing was supposed to look like a game of telephone. I'm not sure that is readily apparent, but the covers — featuring Alicia Keys, Brad Pitt, Condoleeza Rice, Don Cheadle, and Barack Obama, to name a few — are impressive nonetheless.

I love all of the covers…I wish I had the time, money, and energy to purchase them all…and Alicia Keys looks so good that I didn't even recognize her.
Yeah those covers are pretty cool.
I especially like the one of Madonna and Morgan Freeman.
The telephone theme was not conveyed well, but otherwise the covers are amazing! I was trying to pick a favorite and I truly can't. Kudos to Vanity Fair (and of course stereohyped for covering it)!
The covers are hott!!.. thats amazing ceativity and having them acting like they are whispering to each other is genius.. Definitely pick that one right up!! Howd you guys missed that… it was totally obvious!!.. lol
The Djimon Honsou and Brad Pitt one as well as the Iman and Don Cheadle one are my favorites.
