Vivica Fox Needs To Get Herself Booked
To Avoid Further DUI-Related Indignities

vivicastar.jpg

Vivica Fox needs a new lawyer, preferably one who will inform her that completely ignoring a DUI arrest is not going to make it go away. She chose not to attend her DUI hearing Monday, and the judge announced that if she doesn't get booked at a police station by Dec. 11, he will issue a warrant for her arrest.

I know this is off topic, but why can't Star get a stylist to:

A) Blend her a natural looking lipstick color that'll cover up that two-toned lip mess?

B) Tell her that she looks awful with that open mouth pose. Naomi Campbell she ain't!

And to think I thought she redeemed herself with the bob haircut (which looks great on her).

Her makeup looks like she did it herself. What I will NEVER understand about celebrities who have makeup done by professionals all the time is how they don't come to understand what looks are "photo ready" and not just bathroom mirror ready. She should know that her nude lip liner doesn't play well in a photo - nor does a saggy face sans blush. Jesus! On the other hand, it's ppl like her that keep me in business. Carry on, Star, carry on.

actually, BMD, can you enlighten the group of us that might be interested…aw hell, i'll be honest here…i want your advice! tell me your opinion on wedding makeup (bride and bridesmaids). And if you have DC area suggestions, I'll take that, too. Gracias in advance!

Star looks like someone farted in her face right before they snapped this pic.
What a waste of a cute haircut.

Why are you talking about her makeup when she used old table covers to make that shirt she's wearing?

Sorry. Was looking at pics of kittens. LOL.

For wedding makeup it depends on how much you want to pay and what you want done. I only airbrush for weddings and I charge $400 for the bride and $250 for each bridesmaid. Those are LA prices. However I will leave the bride with a "touchup kit" with lipstick, brushes, etc. so that she is set for her big day.

Once you find an artist, make sure you do two tests - one for you alone and the other for one bridesmaid. Pick the least attractive one b/c you want to make sure that your artist knows how to beat a face. Make sure your artist has you sign a contract.

I worked with a girl who was from DC but was doing hair/makeup in NYC not that long ago. I'll see if I still have her card somewhere.

Where do I get this airbrush thing of which you speak?

You can also pay an artist to stay at the wedding to do the touchups for you after they've done your face.

I have a price list that details what I charge from false eyelashes to full private consultations to my full day rate for tv/film. Make sure your artist shows you a price list and doesn't quote you some ish over the phone. Only deal with a professional.

Daria - Airburshing is fun. I LOVE to do it. Unfortunately, I only do it when the day rate it right b/c I don't drag out all my supplies for some bullshit rate. LOL. Anyway….you can get airbrushing done by a MUA. It's big in tanning salons. That's how I first started offering as a service. Airbrush tanning.

@gossip - As far as makeup to use there are lots are greats lines. If you don't go the airbrush route…I am BIG fan of Prescriptives. They have several different bases in different formulas that you can get color matched to your skin. MAC is great for eye shadows and blush. I like Lancome, Nars and Channel for lipstick and gloss. Kiehls is great for skincare.

Yea there are classes. This is the makeup school I went to:

They have a NYC campus. Don't know what's up in Boston.

thanks for the price list…i was curious what was standard although i'm sure LA is higher than DC. i wasn't really asking for advice on brands, b/c realistically i'm going to hire someone to do my makeup that day, so if they're good i'll just trust them. i was more wondering about particular looks to consider for a wedding (you know how mac, for instance, does thosoe face charts). sorry for using you for free…but i know you know, so i have to ask!

if anyone has makeup artist advice in dc, let me know, please.

also, is there any way you could link us to a pic of an airbrushed face? i'm curious how it looks as compared to the makeup i'm used to wearing. i want to be fabulous looking, and i want the pics to be great, but at the same time, i don't want to look unrecognizable in any way or too "done up."

I'm trying to link you to a pic on my website but it's password secured so you'd have to log-on (not trying to put my password out to cyber space!) Hmm…I'll keep trying to figure out how to do it.

Screw it! Here's a link to the makeup I use for my airbrush, Kett. They have many pics of airbrushed faces.

Damn! I need to take some classes or something. Here I am walking around with flawed skin when there's air brush make up to fix all this discoloration.

It's good to see that Vivica is already using the OJ defense. Telling the cop that shes being persecuted for being a black women. Hmmm, wonder if all black men and women can use that defense for DUI's, she's an idiot and arrogant.
