We Finally Know Why Black Women Want To Vote For Hillary Clinton!
It couldn't possibly be because they like her politics, right?

Quote of the Week
Essence editor Tatsha Robinson on why black women can relate to Hillary Clinton:

ROBERTSON: Even though she's Hillary Clinton, they see themselves, you know, within her, dealing with the family issues, the infidelity issues.

[CNN's CHRIS] LAWRENCE: Robertson says Clinton's ultimate embarrassment is her greatest asset.

ROBERTSON: She decided, you know, whether she wanted to stay or not, and I really think, you know, people respect that about Hillary Clinton, especially black women.

This B.S. is why I only read Essence at the hair salon. I'm voting for her because I agree with her. I like her husband and her daughter. Off topic: Chelsea is stunning in person. She definitely upgraded in the looks department in the last few years but even still, she looks far better in person than in photographs and she has a really nice body. I'm jus sayin…

Is the inference here that black men are unfaithful or would that be an uppity reading of what Tatscha Robinson is saying?

I am SO done with Essence.

Goodness gracious! So now, we as black women relate to Clinton because we know all about no good men! Come on! This is just so ridiculous. Without even being explicitly named, this is still about bashing black men and no good pieces of poop who mistreat black women. Way to go CNN and Essence for making black women look like fools instead of informed voters AND getting a good ol' implied black man bashing in there too. Kudos!

I would be happier if CNN just started interviewing random black women on the street because I'm sure they'd get better responses. Essence and southern hair salons are not the only options people. Why not ask Lauren?

Sorry, but my opinion is that Black women are distrustful of Obama because he is a man with some smooth game but will he represent our best interests or continue the BushCo regime?

I'm more with Hilary/Edwards than Obama because (and I've stated this here & other comment blogs):

OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE A CONCRETE PLAN TO:

1) Help get the US out of Iraq

2) Eradicate/Diminish Global Warming

3) Get all children living in the US no matter age, income, gender, religion or race FREE healthcare

4) Help bolster the economy so more people can work (I haven't seen so many people out of a job since the 1980s).

AND SO ON…

Obama is a wonderful orator and has good ideas but he caters too much to Republicans (He's Cheney's relative) and religious fundamentalist anti-gay bigots like the McClurkin "I was gay, now I'm not" preacher. He said he will have Republicans on his staff and after BuchCo ruined everything President Clinton and VP Gore did for our nation, I don't want to see another Republican for as long as I live.

Obama needs to sit down and take more notes from more experienced people like Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Bill Richardson. He's too eager to please his opposers and I don't like that.

We can't be intelligent, informed voters. We have to be emotional, reactive and…well…stupid. I can't believe Essence is doing that us. That's just what we need. More stereotyping, more negative media, etc. Tasha Robinson's statement isn't even based on a poll they took or something semi-fact based? I mean, is she just popping off at the mouth?

I'm no Obama supporter but I don't see how he caters to Republicans nor does his relation to Cheney and Bush make a lick of difference in his policies. Hillary is distantly related to Madonna and Angelina. Doesn't mean she supports them as a result.

daria said, "I would be happier if CNN just started interviewing random black women on the street because I’m sure they’d get better responses."

Oh god, please no. They would find the most ignorant ass black women they could find (ie, rollers in hair, big boobs with no bra doing the interview).

So basically Tatsha Robertson sans nice outfit, rollers and bra? If it's a random woman on the street saying something ignorant, people at least disregard it. When it's said by an Essence employee, it's viewed as the gospel truth by the audience.

This whole "crabs in a bucket" mentality we as black people have needs to stop. I have talked to many colleagues and asked who they would vote for and many whites are going for Obama, he does have a healthcare plan as much as any other candidate our reasons for not voting for Obama are asinine its really sad that the people who share his skin color are his biggest "haters" and for what "Americas not ready for a black president" well let Americans decide that.

No. 15 · BLACKS/ AFRICAN AMERICANS VOTING FOR HILLARY CLINTON

BLACKS/ AFRICAN AMERICANS VOTING FOR HILLARY CLINTON.
I happen to like Hillary but as a Black/African American woman I will never vote for a white women over a black man. This is why:
1- As a Corporate American black woman and Business Owner in the USA, I have never been fairly promoted or recognized fairly by a white woman. I’ve been better qualified than many and white women have enviously overlook me, however asking or demanding me to train or assist her/ them with my knowledge and network????????
2- I have never been hired by a white woman unless she was directed to do so; and if I was hired I was Greatly cold-bloodedly sabotage during the process.
3- In corporate American there is a huge amount of Rank pulling to say the least against the blacks.
4- As Hillary is an 'Idol' to many of which the bible ten commandments warns us of idols. but like I was saying Hillary is a great person and she will always be working to do better anyway- So being the president will not be a big deal.

CAN YOU AMAGINGE and you wasn’t born yesterday how white women would treat black women if Hillary was in office??? THINK ABOUT IT… White women are for themselves, then their white men, then OUR BLACK MEN (NEED I GO INTO DETAILS).

White women are INTIMIDATED BY SMART, ATTRACTIVE, STRONG BLACK WOMEN and will ALWAYS RESENT THEM and be JEALOUS OF THEM…..

JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT. We all know this is not ULTIMATELY intended to happen as such but when a group of people get control things CHANGE and sometimes for the worst.

So, to all you Blacks who love Hillary think about what is stated here. She is a great person, but just like them— WHEN THE SH*T HIT THE FAN THEY PULL RANKS AND SUPPORT THERE OWN.

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO STOP BEING DICTATED TO AND DICTATE FOR OURSELVES THIS IS THE TIME TO GIVE OUR ANCESTORS WHAT WAS COLD-BLOODEDLY SABOTAGED AWAY FROM THEM BACK.

WHITES HAVE HAD THERE TIME NOW IT IS OURS. LOOK AROUND THEY ARE TAKING OVER OUR LIVES, CULTURE- BIG LIPS, BIG ASSES IMPLANTS- TANNING IS A BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS- OUR MUSIC- OUR DANCING………………..

YOU REMEMBER WHEN THEY HATED US FOR THIS AND WHEN THEY DISCRIMINATED AGAINST US BECAUSE OF THIS??????

AND YOU KNOW WHAT—- EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE TRYING TO BLEND THEY STILL DON’T LIKE US ENOUGH TO BE 100% FAIR AND NON-DISCRIMINATORY TOWARDS US.

THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!!!!!!

AMERICA IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LAND OF LAWS AND LOOK HOW THEY SUPPORTED BUSH AND CHANEY BREAKING LAWS OVER AND OVER AGAIN– AND WILL SAY THEY DONE NO WRONG. When the democrats do win, then they will decide it’s time to follow the laws they wrote. Talk about flip flop.
